I couldn&rsquo;t resist experimenting with Proxmox after reading about all the shiny things it could do.</p> <p>My ultimate goal was to have a simpler back-up and restore scheme. Currently, it was a complicated mess composed of restic and btrfs, doing god knows what, which only codex could understand.</p> <p>Previously, this would&rsquo;ve been a whole month worth of work, wherein I would enthusiastically read all the documentation, lose hope of ever understanding the system in all its details, and then start patching snippets from github to make things work.</p>
