It was a quick read. I have a soft corner for stories set in the Irish countryside. It evokes feelings of longing for an imagined slow country life that I never had. Strange.
The story is well paced, and I especially loved how it managed to flush out the main character within so few pages.
Bonus points for teaching me something that I previously had no knowledge about.
I recommend jumping straight into the book without looking up what it’s about.
